I am trying to transfer from UCR to UCLA or Cal. Prior to this quarter, I had a 3.9 GPA and had been getting straight A's. I just got my first B this quarter, which brings my cumulative GPA down to a 3.8something. I was wondering if this significantly lowers my chances of getting in? I know they like upward grade trends and I feel like I really screwed up this quarter.

Major: Peace and Conflict Studies (Cal), Anthropology (UCLA)
ECs/Awards: Leadership in many clubs, volunteer work, a couple tutoring jobs, honor societies, Dean's Honor List every quarter, Chancellor's Honor List for 2011-2012, piano

wanago2college and strive101: Thanks so much for responding You guys have honestly made me feel a lot better. I’ve been freaking out since I got that B… I thought I messed everything up for myself just as things had started to look brighter. But, it’s success stories like yours that keep me going Thanks again.

verity: don’t worry about that B, you’re still a good candidate. I’m know some Cal transfers for Econ from UCSC that have slightly lower stats who still got in.
