UC to UC Transfer English Requirement

Hello!

I am currently a second year at UCR and I want to transfer to UCI or UCSD, etc... for the English Composition requirement on the transfer app, it asks for 2 quarters of English, but I fulfilled 1 quarter of my English requirement with a 3 on the AP Language & Comp test...

I have already taken English 1B which is equivalent to the second quarter of English and I want to take 1C, but UCR only offers around 3-4 classes of 1C for the whole school!! So only the upperclassmen get to take it... I heard a rumor that they are not going to require it though...

but anyways I was wondering if my 3 on AP exam satisfies the second quarter of English (and if it does, how do I fill in the blanks on the UC App?

Dept No.

Course No.

Course Title

??

Thank you!!~

You should call the UC and ask them personally. If there’s a box underneath where it allows you to write a note or anything, then you should use that area to write that you fulfilled 1 quarter through AP and 2nd quarter with 1B.

I remember working with something like this when I had to input my AP Microecon grade for the UC Berkeley application update (the page you get 1-2 months after the deadline). I called up the college of natural resources and they told me to input AP Microeconomics as the course title, but this wasn’t for the actual application like yours.

ohhh~ thank you midnight golfer!
I just called UCI’s admissions office & they said to just leave the section blank & my AP score will just satisfy my requirement~
