So, I plan to call Monday but I'm just wondering... I was accepted to UCLA for Fall 2012 and I know that technically UC students just do their own ge's and don't worry about the 7 core courses, but I'm worried about not finishing my UC ge's in time... I could finish over summer but otherwise I can't. Will they revoke my acceptance? I've satisfied the 7 core courses otherwise and I mean, why would they have accepted me if they knew I wasn't done?

Any advice helps... ://

What did UCLA say?

Did you check the box on your application that said you would finish your GE requirements by spring? If so, you are liable to be recinded due to inaccurate information reported

If you didn’t check that box, you are fine. But your GEs are about to become a pain in the ass

I talked to them and they said they know what I will and won’t complete because they reviewed my application and unless they missed something (which they likely didn’t) that it won’t matter. Also, when I updated my application changes they responded saying it made no change on my application and look forward to having me in the fall. So I guess it didn’t matter!

I am UC to UC transfer too, and I made changes online. My congrats message is gone and replaced with a " we will look into it" kind of message. Did that happen to you and how long did it take you to get a reply? Was the reply emailed to you or did you have to frequently check admission log in plcae? thanks

^ I am in the same spot. I submitted changes on the 20th asap. They took down the acceptance page and now I am just waiting.

Hmmm… Mine didn’t change to that. They emailed me within about a week letting me know that the changes didn’t matter. Let me know what happens!

^ Now I am a little worried… my changes were pretty minor…or so I thought. I wonder why they got to you so quick while I am still in limbo.

Well were you changing ge’s or just random classes? Because I just changed 3 random classes to one ge. My original 3 classes had been for my major at my current UC but because I won’t be continuing that major I switched to a ge. Don’t stress, I’m sure they’re just busy with lots of things. When did you edit it? Because I think I did mine like the day I got accepted.

I also changed mine the very day I got accepted! I changed my classes but pretty much swapped GE classes for classes that fulfill the same GEs so either way I am done and will attain UC Reciprocity and I wrote that in the comments section.

The ONLY thing that is giving me pause is that one of those courses was an anthropology course (my major). But it wasn’t a pre req and was upper division. What if they admitted me on the basis of that class. Perhaps they thought it gave me an edge?

It’s not like I dropped these courses. I planned to take them but I simply could not get a spot. With budget cuts it’s nearly impossible to predict what classes you can get. =/

Should I report to them classes I did not list but will be taking? o_o I know this is sort of a reverse issue…

In my application, I only listed 2 classes but I’m taking 3 classes now so I won’t be on probation at UCI. o_o

Don’t worry, maybe it’s just that your department is reviewing slower than mine is all. :). I totally know what you mean about not being enough space that’s what happened with me. I feel like there should be a better option than “dropped”. It just sounds bad, but honestly I’m sure you’re ok. It doesn’t sound like those edits are any reason for your admission offer to be revoked!

@ocean
Yes! Definitely report any changes you’ve made even if they’re additions. It’s important to keep them informed I think! :).

Hmmmmm alright I just sent an update. Are you guys still in limbo though? Just wondering if the same will happen to me. Also, can I send another update incase I DO fail a class later on or something bad happens?

They cleared me today! UCLA works fast. For the record, my decisions letter never changed.
