Currently i am sophomore at UCR, political science major, and I want to transfer to UCLA or UCSD. What are my chances realistically?
- 3.86 GPA (which includes fall quarter 2010)
- internship at District Attorneys office summer after freshman year of UCR
- currently treasurer of student organization
- employed part-time by the UC Police Department
Thanks!

also any info from people who have already successfully done a uc to uc transfer would also be really helpful. thanks

You can look for the intercampus transfer stats at [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/). Do a custom table with “Type of college prior to UC” and “Prior college GPA” to see what the competition looks like.

You have a decent chance IF you complete the GE’s and pre-reqs for your major.

@smcguy i thought not completing GE’s (UC to UC reciprocity) doesn’t hurt your admissions status. it’s just beneficial for you to complete because you don’t have to take those classes again at the new UC.
