I was wondering is it possible to transfer from UCR to UCI, UCD, UCSB, UCSD after two years in ucr, that is ofcourse with a good GPA??
PLS RESPOND
THANKS!!

Yes it’s possible. There are current UC to UC transfers on this board this year. And last year I saw someone from UCR transfer to UCLA. They had a pretty high (3.8-4.0) GPA.

It’s possible! I am an inter-campus transfer this year from UCSC and I just got admitted to UCSB. Just make sure you qualify for UC Reciprocity and have a good GPA.

Ok thanks for your feedback, but my goal is to transfer to uci or ucsd. hope that is possible…

@Mikali, thanks for the feedback. i will work hard to keep my gpa up

@charan- I currently am in UCR and just got accepted to UCSD this saturday, but i also am waiting on UCB/UCLA/UCI. so it is possible as I know people who got into every top-tier UC last year

@strive101. thanks for the confidence boost in me. congrats on ur admission to ucsd!!!
im thinking of doing eng at ucr and i recently applied to honors prgrm at ucr and I hope that will help me transfer with some ease. should i consult with my ucr counselor about my transfer change after tow years…im curious on how u did ur change ?
thanks for u time

@charan- Thanks
I actually am in the honors program right now. Honors definitely helps.

I actually didn’t talk to my advisor at all. All I asked her was if I qualify for UC Reciprocity (if I will finish all UCR GE’s so I won’t have to take any lower division when I get to my desired school)
But talk to your UCR adviser if you don’t know your UCSD prereqs, maybe they know. also email the UCSD advisor (i’m guessing English adviser? you’re an english major?) about the UCSD prereqs.

But most importantly, make sure you keep the highest GPA as possible, and get involved in some way on campus!

feel free to PM me if you have more questions!

@strive101 thanks for replying.
im thinking of majoring in eng. (specifically mechanical) but as of now im admitted as pre-business. but i hrd u can change you major multiple times. so do u think i can do eng at ucr without a problm.
Thanks for the advice on contacting advisers, i will keep that in mind. I hope i get in honros program. thank you so much for ur feedback

If 100% sure you want to go to those universities, you’re better off going to a community college. You get priority consideration and you can get guaranteed admission to most of them (TAG). The only issue sometimes is getting classes.
