Hello,
I am going to be a freshman next year at UCSD, and got in for Psych/Human Health, my alternate. I initially put Bioengineering as my intended major, I know kinda crazy. I’ve figured that I do not want to do that anymore, and would actually like to pursue Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Either way it will be a capped major, and space will be limited. So, basically my question is, how hard is it to transfer to Civil Engineering at the other UCs, like UCI or UCD, because I would eventually want to enter this major, and I am willing to apply to other colleges if it does not work out at UCSD?
Contrary to popular belief it actually isn’t that hard to move from UC to UC. If you end up not getting into that major and you know for a fact that it is what you want to do, I think it’s a compelling reason to apply. That’s really what adcoms are looking for in a UC to UC transfer.
Okay thanks, also, is it possible to transfer after one year?
