UC to UC transfer?

Hey.

I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to transfer from UCI to Berkeley OR UCSC?

How many people have done so- completing a UC to UC transfer?

It's possible but less chances.

You probably wouldn't have trouble getting to UCSC though.

Alright (:

UCSC is where I wanna transfer to if I dont get Cal, it shouldn't be that hard.

There are countless threads on this. Transfering from a UC to another UC is not that hard unless it is Cal/UCLA maybe UCSD. You will hear people with 3.0s who get into the 2nd tier UCs. You shouldn't have a problem tranfering into UCSC.

Get a 3.5+ and you should be fine to get in any UC unless your major is impacted. If it is, get as close to a 4.0 as possible or decide to major in something that is not impacted. Keep in mind the UC will probably not let you switch into an impacted major after transferring into an easier major... so if you are firm on your major, just stay with it and cross your fingers.

Just get above a 3.6 or so and you'll have a shot.

Thank you! Even for Cal?

Is it hard to get a 3.6?

probably depends on your major

a 3.6 in ld engineering courses will be very different compared to english classes

Anyone know if Comp. Sci is impacted @ Cal/UCLA?

typically Comp Sci is impacted everywhere IMO.

Comp Sci is no longer impacted at Berkeley.

Thanks! Is that true for the College of L&S?

^ I know at UCLA L&S isn't impacted.

Thanks! Does UCB or UCLA have a website that shows majors that are impacted?
