<p>i've just been admitted into ucr, and i'm planning on going there, and considering getting a transfer to another uc after two years. if i do get a transfer, will i have to prove my residency to the new campus? i'm already a california resident. can they take away that residency status, for any reason? my parents might move to another country, after maybe a couple more years in california. so i can claim residency now, but i'm not sure how it'll work if/when i get a transfer.</p>
<p>if anyone has gone through a similar situation, i'd like to know how it worked out.</p>
