UC transfer admission subject and unit requirements

I have a question about TAG regarding the transfer admission subject and unit requirements. I am planning on applying for TAG for computer science at Davis, I currently have completed 33 units and have a 3.48 gpa.

However, I'm not sure what the TAG site means by : I have completed or will complete all UC transfer admission subject and unit requirements by the end of spring 2014. My UC TAG Application includes courses that I have in progress and planned to complete these requirements by the date specified.

It links to this page: UC Davis: Transfer Admission Requirements

I can finish the 3 semesters of English and Math, but I'm not sure about the 4 transferable courses in arts and humanties, social and behavioral sciences, and physical and biological sciences.

I've been getting mixed answers about this, and I just want to confirm with people who have successfully done their TAG. I've had people told me it must be 2 courses in each section, or just 4 courses of any sections total. On my UCTAP courses, the classes that I have completed that are in those categories are : introduction to sociology (soc10), fundamentals of chemistry (chem15), general chemistry (chem1a), principles of macroeconomic theory (econ10a), english composition (engl1a) . The class I have in progress that belong to those categories are general chemistry (chem1b) and engl1b. Am I good to go or do I need to take other GE classes? Next semester I am planning on just taking math/computer sciences courses for Cal Poly and UCSD, so I may not be able to fill other school's prereqs if I do not satisfy this criteria.

From the website:

This says that you need to take at least one course in two of the areas listed above, which you have.

Soc 10 - social and behavioral science
Chem 15 - physical and biological sciences
Chem 1A - physical and biological sciences

However, you still need one more course in either 3 of the categories to meet this requirement. You must finish the course by the end of Spring semester.

So my econ1a, engl1a, and engl1b do not count?

@gawdzillah

My apologies! Neither English falls into any of the three categories. The Econ1A however does fall into social and behavioral science, so you should be good.

For future reference to know what category classes you’re taking falls into Google search “<college name=”"> IGETC" This should show you the IGETC form for your school which tells you courses that fall into those categories.</college>
