UC Transfer App Question!~!~

[On the page where you type in your classes and indicate the grade you recieved]... What is the difference between "P" and "Cr" ?? It seems like they both can be put to indicate passing the class without having actually gotten an A B C D or F grade. bleh..

what does your transcript say?

ummm oviously you would put the grade you recieved......... the one your school uses....

some schools use P/NP others use CR/NC

you put the one your school uses.

your self reported history is meant to be a COPY of your transcript.

[I'm at UCR right now doing intercampus transfer btw] The school doesn't use either notation of "P/NP" or "Cr/NC".

It seems UCR has only one way of showing whether you passed or failed: "S or N/C" standing for "pass" or "no credit" respectively. That's it. There is no other kind of "pass" like "pass with credit/no credit" or something like that.

a) Basic 1 unit freshman seminar classes here for example are all graded on "S" or "N/C" basis, with the rule of C equivalent and above allowing you an "S" or "pass" and C- equivalent and below giving you an "N/C" or "no credit" (fail). b) Another example: changing the grade basis of a class for whatever reason gives you two choices, getting an "S" or "N/C" instead of A through F grade.

So, I took a few seminar classes and (PASSED) them "P"? and got the 1 unit (CREDIT) "Cr" ? with an "S" to show that on my transcript, and need to know whether I put on the UC application a "P" or "Cr" for those classes.

bump (ten)

what does S stand for? satisfactory?

i think whatever you put doesnt matter. I would put CR if i were you because the other option is NC at your school.

However, if this really bothers you ,call the admissions office. but i gurantee you that they do not care which one you put.

Ask them here: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showpost.php?p=3035809&postcount=88%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showpost.php?p=3035809&postcount=88</a></p>
