GPA 3.7 from UCR business econ

since so many of the ppl here got accepted into the better schools: ucla, ucsd, berkeley, how about withdrawing ur applications from davis and irvine?
help elly 113 and myself out

i'll withdraw my application from ucsd if i get into davis

Ill withdraw my app from Davis in 11 days when I find out if im in at UCB or not, and I just found out that Eleanor Roosevelt was 75% female?!?! UCSD is starting to sound a lot more tempting now.

wow, alotta ppl heard from SD...but i didnt :(

Hello everyone and congratulations on all of your acceptance letters. I am starting to loose my patience a bit here. I applied to UCB, UCLA, UCSB and UCSD. I have not heard from any of them yet! (I know UCB and UCLA will take a while, but for UCSB and UCSD-what's up?)

My English Courses were taken at Brooklyn CUNY in New York. My math is in progress right now at UCLA extension. I currently go to Santa Monica College. I have around a 3.0-3.1 average, which I know is bad, but I feel my other stats make up for it somewhat.

P.R. for Broadway Shows in NYC
Member of S.K.I.P. of NY (Working with children with MD)
Leads in several different school and community plays
Drama teacher for children ages 3-11 (Directed a children's play)
Sustainable Works Project Member
Slam Poetry Award Winner

I applied to UCB, UCSD, and UCSB for communications. For UCLA I applied for Theater. At Brooklyn College I was getting my BFA in theater. Now I'm at SMC. What are my chances?

I also worked at an After School Program helping children with their homework and basically babysitting them-forgot to mention that. Thanks everyone!

are you a cali resident?

if yes...i'd say its pretty slim for every schoo, but sb and if not i'd say you have close to no shot at any school. the raw numbers just arent there.

THIS one is to all ECON MAJORS. I got a 3.72 gpa and finished all igetc reqs. i have done the macro/micro and stats without calc courses, which are the prereqs and got A's, but i am only taking calculus 1 right now this spring, and will take calculus 2 in the summer. to what extent will that affect my chances?

oh, especially for berkeley, since their math req. are less stern, only requiring calc for bus. and social sciences I and II. please respond! lets get an econ major thread here.

also list acceptances if any for econ majors, or rejections.

that is exactly my question.
at the davis webpage it says the last day they will notify is on the 29th
but who is gonna take the place of all those students who decline the SIR after that day???

Stilll pending !!!! This iznt looking good...any CS/CE/EE majors hear from UCSD, UCI ???? Please let me know....

I'm refreshed to know that i'm not the ONLY one who didn't hear from UCSD today.

Add me in to Sanven4...anyone else who haznt heard from UCSD ?

I called the admissions department of UCSD today and they told me that a decision has not been made yet on my application. So at least I know it isnt a rejection yet =/

Sanven4, which number do you call to know about the apps? what major are you?

I have a 4.0 with all the prerequisites covered, 62 units, Econ major, including a rockin essay but still i have yet to hear from UCSD or UCI. Maybe they don't want me b/c im asian. there's too many of those yellow devils, therefore they need to make cuts. Cuz UCSD is my safety, and not hearing from them makes me think im not gunna hear from Cal or LA

MrPinaple, what is your major?

EDIT: oops sorry did not see ur major above...

The number to speak with an admissions counselor at UCSD is located at this URL. Second paragraph down on that page has all the contact information.

Sanven4, thanks for the link.

In retrospect, i think it would have been auspicious for me if i applied under the pretense of being Uruguayan and homosexual.
