UC Transfer Applicants - Come Join

I was wondering though, I attended American River College in Sacramento, and when I moved back to Los Angeles, I attended Coastline CC. I only went there for fall, and left because no calculus series are offered there. I then attended El Camino College for winter and I am still there for this Spring.
That makes Coastline sound a little bad in my opinion,no calculus courses offered. I made the Dean's list there, do you think I should cite a reason why I left Coastline or is it unimportant? I ask because I am citing a couple schools there.

ucla is on wednesday? wooah..so next week is definetely THE week.
UCSD to be randomy giving out their reposnes next week sometime,
LA on wednesay, and dum dum um...friday is berkeley. And i agree with you allena, its so weird to think that..these 2 years have all been spent to come to this conclusion....i am soo nervous.

Hey y'all,
Thanks for pouring in all the information. Looking at all the sources and information gathered in this thread, it looks like *April 27, Wednesday - UCLA * & ** April 29, Friday - Cal ** will be the ultimate showdown.

OMG, it's so scary!

I know Berkeley will notify everyone on Friday, but UCLA -- are they just starting the announcements Wednesday, or is everyone being notified?

cbkbo3: I believe Engineering majors go through the Engineering Department's admissions in addition to the regular school's admissions.

This whole process seems more secretive than the election of the Pope. I am exhausted. For all we know they are back there with a oujia board and a magic 8-ball deciding our futures.

Sorry to those of you who got bad news this week. I am still waiting for the guillotine to come down, at the end of yet another "DECISION PENDING" week.... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting depressed. A bad outcome would be better than no outcome at all at this point. :(

But happy thoughts, guys -- and have a great weekend all. The really nerve-wracking week is just ahead!

i just called the admissions office today and was told that we will know on either wednesday or thursday! :) let the REAL anxiety begin and end.

I love how UCLA has to get in there two days before Cal. Hilarious!

Omg I Can't Wait.

a classmate of mine and fellow English major received his decision from UCSD two days ago.

i got accepted to UCI today... just wanted to let those still waiting know=]

Wow, good luck all you UCLA applicants!! I'm applying for UCLA next year so I'll need all the support I can get when the time comes! :0)

hey guys - i haven't posted in a while. congrats to those that got into their dream schools/safety schools. as for those who feel like they've been yanked around by the schools that rejected them, you guys should appeal! I, for one, will definitely appeal if I don't get into Cal, but of course I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

Looks like the end is near for us Cal and LA applicants! Good thing that UCLA decided to release their decision earlier - a Berkeley adcom rep who visited my school two weeks ago told me that BY LAW, all UCs should post their admission decisions by the end of April.

Also, this should start a trend among the UCs, I think, to get their decisions out AS EARLY AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. Each of them should be scrambling to be the first to tell their applicants what their decision is. Not that I want them to rush their decision, but it appears to be random anyway, so, whatever.

OT: Any PTK members here who are coming to the CA/NV regional conference next weekend at Redwood City? My school's chapter is the host.

Biochemist12 I was thinking about doing the PTK conference, but just don't have the time.

Also the reason they're trying to finsh by the end of the month, is that they want to give us a full month to decide where to go before we submit our SIR's.

And they should.

Also, same Berkeley adcom rep told me that Cal will try to have decisions posted as early as Friday am. I just remembered that she mentioned this also when I talked to her.

OOo I have Fridays off so I will be checking nonstop on Friday!!!

moi aussi (me too) !

I'm nervous for friday and I dont have to apply till next year!

wait.....if its BY LAW that the release by end of april...how come the UCLA site says they will be makin admission responses into May? Someone wana clear that up for me? Thanks.

I just got into Irvine.. school of Social Sciences, its about freaking time.
