UC Transfer Fall 2008

Folsom Lake College
to UCSB
Cultural Anthropology and Business Economics major
4.0 GPA
IGETC completed
Some scholarships, deans list, volunteer and job experience

leini- yey! same major! but how come you are applying to only UCSB?

Applied to: UCB, UCLA, UCD, UCI
From: Mission/West Valley College
Also went to SJCC for summer and will be attending De Anza for following quarters
GPA: 3.87
Will probably drop since I'm taking three English classes and Intermediate Japanese this semester :( I procrastinated a lot this semester.
Major: English
IGETC: Will be completed prior to transfer. Should probably take a mathematics course since I had a low pass score for Calc AB. ;;
EC's/Extra: Well, I'm a tutor for an adult literacy program sponsored by the SJPL; got a certificate too, but there wasn't really a section for that, so I just plunked it into the description. Also part-time employment, but it's really just sibling bonding time. :D And Dean's list, but pretty much everyone here has that.
Essay: Hmm, well, I started the day it was due, though I thought about it beforehand. I changed my mind in the last couple of hours, hahaha. I thought the first one turned out pretty good, but having to cut it down due to being over the suggested 750 was heartbreaking. :( The second one...ew. It would've been decent if I had more room to work with.

Well guys, it's been great having you all to talk to, but I've gotta bow off the board till February. Whenever I come on the board I drive myself crazy with my chances at Cal, what I can do before update submission to improve them.

See y'all next year. (;

Liar, see you in a week.

I just noticed a mistake I made on my UC app. In the section where we input which college/university we currently attend, for the school certification, I put bachelor's degree May 2010. Also, During dates attended, I wrote 2006-2010 but later changed it to 2006-2008. I forgot to change the school certification information though. You think this will affect my admittance?

i doubt it! it's just a little mistake.

i reallyy realyyyy want to go to UCLA
do you guys think i have a pretty good chance?

sweet- didn't you write ur stats before?! lol

Even with TAP a 3.18 might be a little to low for UCLA Econ but who knows. Best of luck to you.

the econ dept admissions for UCLA is fiercely competitive, but good luck anyway!

TAP is going to help him... but 3.18 is kinda risky but "TAP" is like a huge advantage!

I just noticed a wording mistake in my application I put that viewed as modern as opposed to viewed as modern. The "that" should not have been there. Do you guys think it is that big of a deal?
