I'm a sophomore at USC. Do I have ANY chance of getting into Berkeley EECS or UCLA computer engineering? My GPA is 3.92 and I've done all the USC equivalent classes of the lower division requirements. I also did the english requirements with directly transferable classes at LACC. All 5 on AP exams except one 4. I think my essays are pretty strong too. In summary, I can't imagine they wouldn't want me but I'm afraid they won't like the fact that I didn't do everything at CC. I'm also a CA resident.

yea its difficult, especially with EECS at UCB, but you might get lucky

GET AT LEAST 30 UNITS AT A CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE. THAT WAY YOU ARE CONSIDERED A COMMUNITY COLLEGE TRANSFER STUDENT. Other than that, I have no idea of your chances. Yeah, I currently attend LACC!

i would highly recommend going to a community college as it makes the process much more seamless. i went to sjsu my first year of college, now i'm in my second year of college finishing up my GE's and i am ready to transfer in the fall. let's just say that this opportunity would not have been available if i had stayed at sjsu or any other 4 year institution

The first preference is given the CC students then Inter-Campus applicants and then the other universities. And EECS @ Berkeley is tough to get into. So it is hard to say. As for UCLA I think you have a pretty good chance...Good luck.
