I hope some one can help me out because I am literally going crazy. I just recently got admitted to UCSD as a physics major but fell short 0.03 points off my GPA. I have a 2.97 but according to the transfer requirement I have to have 3.0. I don’t know what to do because I have everything completed for UC Davis just in case I didn’t get in to SD but if I chose to SIR SD I have to cancel Davis but risk not getting into SD and not going to school anywhere. I am currently taking 2 summer courses to guarantee I get at least a 3.0 but I know summer doesn’t count. I am hoping someone has been in this situation before and care really help me out. Please if someone can help me out I will be forever grateful.
You need to call UCSD as soon as their office opens on Monday and ask.
I called Friday and they told me I can go ahead and take the risk and if I get denied I could appeal the decision stating why I got a C and that I am taking two Uc Transferable courses in the summer to guarantee my 3.0 but I was hoping some one on here has gone through this before and they managed to get in still. I am just so stressed out right now and the only reason why I got a dam C is because my car broke down on an exam day and there are no make ups or anything.
I think that thats a valid explanation.
Make sure that you explain it well, and that you include that you are taking summer classes.
I know its just I am so scared because if I don’t get in I really don’t know what to do and that scares me to death knowing it can all come crashing down just for a stupid circumstance.
I’m in a similar situation. Is the the Spring GPA that needs to be above 3.0 or overall GPA?
