As a transfer student, can I attend another UC and reapply for fall 2018 at another UC without using coursework from the UC that I attended? I am a strong applicant with a 3.89 gpa. I met all ge and major requirements. I completed the TAU on time and was rejected. I am planning on attending UC Davis however, I was wondering if I were able to reapply to the other UC without being an automatic reject? Will an admissions officer/advisor answer this if I contact them? I am a CC student and majoring in environmental economics and policy through the college of natural resources at UC Berkeley. I have various volunteer work and a short job history. I understand the competitiveness of UCB but thought my course work in the spring may be more of a benefit in terms of being admitted.
Thanks in advance…
I guess I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to use the coursework you earned at another UC. They are all closely linked therefore there wouldn’t be any issues transferring credits over. I suppose that you don’t have to use it though if you didn’t want to. Each UC system university has a separate admissions process, so yes you would be able to apply to another one without being an automatic reject. The best info you are going to get is from an admissions counselor. Their job is to assist you. Because of the size of the student body at each UC system school they may not have the time to get to know you personally, but they should at least be able to answer basic questions.
I doubt it. Plus you will be over the unit cap, I am sure. They add all UC units to the CCC total. Berkeley will not do it even if under, i can almost guarantee.
You also cannot ask them to not count the Davis coursework.
If you really want Cal, stay another year part-time at CCC, and work, get more major-related volunteering/reseach/leadership and reapply
