UC Transfer - Question regarding AP credit

I have less than 60 units in terms of classes and didn't take English 1 in college but took English 2 because I have lots of AP test credit.

When I did the uc app. they mentioned the fact that I didn't have 60 units and I didn't take English 1. The BerkeleyMyApp had something alike. I wrote in the additional comments about the ap credit and my counselors said it should be fine, but I'm still worried because a friend of mine is actually taking English 1 this semester and she's in a similar situation but she said that was because HAAS required her to. I didn't apply to HAAS but should I be okay with LA and Berkeley? Has anyone successfully transferred in a similar situation as to mine?

Sometimes the AP score may not be good enough to satisfy the English requirement.

Did you put your AP score on your app? What was your score? And was English a major prereq? If it was, some majors it states on assist that an AP may not be used to satisfy the requirement.

As for the 60 units, do you mean that even with you AP score you still would not have 60 units or the with AP score you meet or exceed the 60 units?

I put my ap scores on the app. I got a 3 on lang and comp and a 4 on lit.

English was not a major pre-req and I have over 60 units with the ap’s

English is an admissions req. Outweighs the major pre-reqs.

So is my 3 on lang comp and 4 on eng lit good enough for the english admissions req?
