does anyone know if UC's will look at your gpa AFTER you apply? for example, say i apply fall 07 with my current gpa of lets say 2.4. and then i get good grades during my fall semester at comm. college AND winter session 07, and lets say my gpa went up by .4 points to a total of 2.8. will the UC's take into consideration the 2.8 and will that raise my chances? or will they just look solely at the 2.4? oh yeah, and if i take mickey mouse classes to try and raise my gpa will that look bad too? im already done with igetc (just need math) so theres nothing really for me to take. if anyone can help it would be great.

Yes. You are required to update the schools you apply to with the fall semester grades once you get them.

so lets say my gpa AFTER winter session is 2.8, UC's will look at the 2.8 and not the 2.4 i had when i applied there right?

you'll only have the fall term to raise your grades. they make their decisions based on the information available through then.

no, they look at winter quarter/session.. I think?

a berkeley evaluator told me they do not factor winter session into the gpa.

i believe they ask for your update once your fall grades are released. i'm on the quarter system, and they never asked for my winter grades.

so winter doesnt count? only fall? btw this is semester system

edit: winter session is just 4 weeks for my school, and it will be available bye the end of jan. so does anyone know?

winter session counts afaik
