I have a couple questions concerning the UC transfer process. I noticed that on the websites of both UCLA and UCB the transfer applications are due by the end of November, this would mean that the application consists only of ones freshman grades? I receive my fall semester grades mid December, would I then send them to UCLA and UCB?
Also are high school grades and SAT scores sent for one who wishes to enter as a junior?
Thanks for any information

After the initial application is submitted, you can update your record to include fall grades after you receive them.

i dont' think so

Neither high school grades nor SAT scores are required for UC transfer applicants, although it seems to be unclear from what I've read whether they'll look at them if you offer them.

They wont look at them.

easymack63: speculation or firsthand knowledge?

Well I remember reading somewhere in official UC publications (of course I cant remember where now) that they wont consider information not explicitly asked for in the application. Also, when youre actually filling out the app it says not to send any supplementary materials.

Thanks for clarifying. That's good to know.

In a case like this, though, my attitude is that if the scores really favor you, go ahead and send them in anyway, even if you know they say they'll ignore them. There's a chance they'll stick it in your file and even if they try to disregard it, it might have some effect.

That they're accepting HS transcripts and SAT scores for most of their applicants makes it more likely that such an error might be made, and if such an error were made in your favor, I wouldn't consider it dishonest as long as the information submitted were clear and accurate.
