UC Transfer: What classes should I take in last semesters at CC?

I have completed 2 semesters at a Cal. Community College, and am hoping to transfer to UCLA or Berkeley in Fall 2013 as a History major. I am on schedule to complete IGETC but am not sure what else I should take, if there's anything in particular. So far, I have completed:

-AP exams taken: English Lit-3, US History-5, US Government-5

Classes taken:
-World History II -A
-Asian History I- A
-Music Appreciation -A
-Intro. Meteorology (Physical Science requirement)- A
-Social/Political Philosophy- A
-Honors English/Critical Thinking -A
-Art History- A
-Western Civ. I- A
-Biological Anthropology (Bio Requirement)- A

Planning to take in Fall 2012:
-Bio Anthro Lab Supplement (for Lab requirement)
-Statistics (math requirement)
-Honors American Women's History
-????????
-????????

There are plenty of things I could take, I'm just not sure what I should be focusing on. More humanities? math? Sciences?

Feedback appreciated.

Talk to a counselor at your CC. They can give you more detailed feedback specific to your situation.

Wow! Congrats on doing so well your first two semesters! I hope that I can do as well as you at CC starting this fall.

As far as your situation, I’m not to sure, but I know I want to take my hardest classes in during my last 2 semesters, but maybe only take two or three per semester.

I doubt my advice will help much. Maybe you have some advice for me?

Yeah the major is fairly straight forward at my CC, but I know that the math and science majors are pretty up to speed with the UCs. I basically just didn’t have many distractions and just developed a better work ethic than I had in high school. I figured, one of the few upsides to going to a CC is that you can focus on academics without the various distractions at universities. So many of my friends ended up just smoking/drinking/getting put on academic probation lol.

Nice, lol. I really going to try to be a lot like you. Good study habits, little distractions, etc… Good stuff. Yeah my friends are like that too; partying a lot and stuff. But don’t worry well be the real winners when we transfer and have good future opportunities ahead.

I would take more history classes, even if you have already completed your prereqs, because this will show more interest in your major and also help you for upper divs. If you really don’t want to do this, then I would take a class that can still help you with your major. For history, this would be any political science class, an advanced english writing class (especially if you can find one that specializes in research writing), a sociology class, an anthropology class, or a geography class.
