I have 79 units from the U. of Arizona and am looking to transfer to a UC after a few quarters at a CCC. My GPA is 2.65 DOes anyone have any info as to how stringent the standards are for UC transferable courses, i.e. if it is common for certain classes to be excluded?

Maybe then I could TAG

Thanks

Ethan

I thought you disqualified for tag if you went to a university in another state.

2.65 is low for most UC standards (Other than Riverside and Merced)
Which UC do you plan to transfer to?

At least 30 UC-Transferable units must be taken at a CC in order to qualify for TAG
And I believe you disqualify for TAG if you get a 4-year degree, but I’m not so sure.
So, it means you are going to be at a college longer than expected. But if you are willing to continue to transfer to UC, we will help you out!

That would be hard to do. Take what classes you need for your major, but it will be hard to transfer to UC if your g.p.a. doesn’t go up. Keep Cal State’s in mind.

already applied to 3 of the CSU’s

not so concerned about the GPA… I have the time and perspective now to take classes and earn good grades

I am more concerned about the ‘unit cap’ and if I could TAG engineering at UCSB… or anywhere
