UC transferr~~ advice help!

Hi i am a student attending a community college aiming to transfer to a uc. I was curious about uc berkeley. If you wanted to transfer to ucb do u apply normally with ec's gpa and see if you get accepted? (as a junior) or is there some recommended route that people normally take aiming for ucb.

Im in a rut thinking about which university to aim for and i would appreciate the advice.
My main interest lies on ucsd but i would like to explore other possibilities

Thank you

What do you mean by apply “normally” ? There are other routes you can take such as TAP (Transfer Alliance Program); however, the application process is still the same. You submit your application, and they select the best qualified students.

A gpa of 3.5+ for nonselective majors and the complete prerequisites that your CC offers should get you in.

dont you have to be invited to tap?

just knock out all of your prereqs from assit.org complete IGETC if applicable, get high grades and have RELEVANT extracurriculars. Then write your essays in such a way that there is continuity between each part and they explain things NOT explained in the rest of the application…

Check out your community college’s website for transfer info and/or talk to a counselor. Also check out the website below for transfer instructions and info.
Good luck!
[Welcome to ASSIST](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST)

use assist.org to do your prereqs, and go to a councilor and talk about TAG program (and TAP) TAG is a transfer admissions guarantee and can be very helpful for getting into most programs at UC’s…but depending on which UC you want to go to, there are different reqirements…like some UC’s need a contract, etc.

get on the ball right now and figure out what you need to do and do it. remember to be motivated and not to wait to fill requirements… for example the english and math req.s
