Background; Freshman @ California CC majoring in Physics and Mathematics. Planning to transfer into Cal, UCLA, UCD, UCSD, UCSB in Cognitive Science and UCI, USC for Data Science Fall 2021. TAP Honors Program, STEM Engineering Program, IGETC completion

When applying to transfer a year from now in the fall of 2020, how much of my major pre-req’s and IGETC should be completed?
-I will have 43/78-81 (~50%) units completed by the end of Summer '20 before Fall '20 and will take 14 units during the Fall '20 semester when applying. -
How much do EC’s play a role in accepting a transfer student compared to GPA? Also, how much does the associate’s degree name play a role in deciding (is getting two AS in physics and maths an acceptable route for cogsci majors?)

Dilemma: I’ve seen a couple of comments where people have said that Adcoms can see that some transfers are applying to non-selective(ish) majors like cog & data sci when it is clearly shown that they have an interest for CS (having majored in CS in CC but applying to these majors)
-How would I differentiate myself from the people supposedly doing this?
-I also have an interest in CS; taking 3 CS classes not subject to any major I’m transferring to, couple of CS EC’s. I would like to specialize in CS/AI/ML as a Cog Sci major like at UCD & UCSD but don’t have anything to show for Cog Sci except for 4 honors classes in Philosophy, 2 in Psychology and Sociology. I’m afraid that I could be be categorized as the aforementioned.
