UC Tuition?

I have lived in California for 8 years and am currently a rising senior. After I finish Senior year, my family’s going to move to New Jersey, but I plan to attend a UC school and remain in California. If I do so and apply to a UC school, would my tuition be considered as in-state or out-of-state tuition? Also, what kind of proof would suffice to prove that I plan to remain in California?

Here is what UCB says:

[Legal Residence Information - Office Of The Registrar](http://registrar.berkeley.edu/Default.aspx?PageID=legalinfo.html)

“Parent of Minor Moves from California If you are a minor U.S. citizen or eligible alien whose parent was a resident of California but who left the state within one year of the residence determination date, you are entitled to resident classification if you remain in California after your parent departs, enroll in a California public postsecondary institution within one year of your parent’s departure, and, once enrolled, attend continuously until you turn 18.”

For general information on the UCs and specifics on the other UCs, see this website:

[University of California - Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/ca_residency.html)

p.s. to get this information, I googled “UC state residency”. Please always confirm everything you are told on an internet community with the primary source.
