UC Unit Cap, CSU - CC - UC

Hi, do I go over the unit cap to transfer into a UC school?
I will have 75 units after this semester. I didn’t reach the deadline to drop my courses in time, giving me an extra 15 units.
I’m need to take at least 3 more units to fulfill the UC 7 course requirement. I’m taking these at a CC.
I have 15 AP credits from high school.
The total amount of credits I will have is 93 units :frowning:
Will a UC only count my transferable GE courses?
I want to major in English, so my business courses would be irrelevant.
What is included in the transferable course count?

My story - I’m in fall semester of my 3rd year at CPP studying business. I didn’t think much about what I wanted to study in High School; I did love to learn though and passed 5 AP Exams. Still, I chose to study Business. Why? I thought I had to attend college right away or else I would absolutely fail at life. I didn’t think I would even get into a UC, or what I would do if I did get into a UC, and I didn’t apply. I don’t think I was mature enough to think about it or try to apply to a UC. Now I understand what the purpose of a UC school is - academics and research. That’s what I loved in all of my high school courses. Now, I’m determining if I go over the unit cap to get accepted into a UC. I’m applying to UCSD, UCLA, UCI, and UCR.

For the purpose of “too many units to transfer to UC”:

  • AP or IB credit ( AP & Exam credits | UC Admissions ) does not count toward “too many units”.
  • Lower division non-UC units are capped at 70 semester units (although all courses may count for subject credit).
  • UC units and upper division units are added to the number of lower division units (capped at 70 semester units).

Thanks, I’m crossing my fingers now to get accepted into any of these schools.
