Yeah, I'm on the fence myself...

For those of us who have no idea what you’re talking about, since you didn’t post this in a UC forum, an explanation would be nice. I am curious.

There is supposed to be a massive walkout on Thursday by faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students in protest of the constant tuition increase (30 percent next year), furloughs, pay cuts, and just a bunch of screw-ups by administration and legislation.

I will not be participating…but one of my professors has decided that he will and canceled class.

Good for the UCs. I would be so screwed if they raised tuition that much here, I’d have to drop out.

I know Judith Butler will be walking out.

Surprise, surprise.

I wonder if the CSUs will do something similar soon…we certainly feel frustrated enough…

A majority of UC Berkeley professors are canceling classes. I am going after a morning seminar to observe the language used by bother sides (the administration and “faculty”) to analyze for another class. That being said, it’s being taken quite seriously at Berkeley among faculty, graduate and undergraduate students alike.
