UC Writing Requirement

Hi!
So I was accepted to UC Davis but only today found out about the writing requirements.
My SAT writing score is only 600. However, my TOEFL scores are high (101 with writing 28/30)
I am a US citizen but I have never been there and I live in Kyrgyzstan (Asia).
We don’t have AP tests and college courses available for high school students here at all!
However, UC Davis haven’t told me a thing about it.
Does this mean I met their writing requirements?
Are there exceptions?
What if I don’t meet their writing requirements?

There is a placement exam, that you are required to take unless you meet one of the exemption requirements. Just search it on the UC David website, and you will find the specific test scores or courses that qualify for exemption.

If you don’t qualify for an exemption, then you need to take the test – information for testing periods should be on the website as well.

And if you don’t pass the test it just means you have to take a threshold level writing class to teach you what you haven’t already learned. No biggee, just boring if you already know it and can test out of it.
