I got a postcard in the mail the other day from the University of California (the return address was from the Santa Cruz campus) telling me to log on to uc4you.ucsc.edu to learn more about the campuses. The site stated “Your high school has identified you as being in the top 12.5% of your senior year class which is an excellent achievement.” Is this true? Should I sign up for the site or is it a scam or something? I’ve been naive in the past about stuff like this and I’ve been trying not to so much, heh

It doesn’t look like a scam. ELC is a real thing. I’m not so sure it’s useful to sign up unless you turn out to be ELC (top 4%).

ucsc may guarantee higher percentages in order to get more excited seniors into their school ^ sounds legit. you cant get a .edu site unless you are infact a real edu facility/ satellite
