UCAN Network good reference tool?

There are a number of lower tier small LACs that I cannot easily locate the Common Data Set. Is UCAN a trust worthy source I can use for those whose CDS I can't find?

It looks like a marketing site with the graphs and charts. Do colleges have to pay to join?

I believe UCan is non-profit. It was started by some colleges as a reaction to the overuse of the USNWR ratings. It’s supposed to provide a standardized set of data that you can use to compare one college to another - so you’re comparing apples to apples. I believe the numbers they are using are coming from the Common Data Set.

I have no reason to believe the data there is inaccurate.

I think it’s a pretty good source. One nice thing UCAN provides is the history of tuition/cost increases. I don’t see that in other sources, unless you want to go through multiple years of common data sets.
