UCAS 2017

Hi everyone! Any offers already received for the American UCAS applicants 2017?

It took some time last year. Acceptances rolled in from late November till mid-spring. St.Andrews was the last one, even behind UCL.

This is what St.Andrews posted on their website:

We aim to provide all international students who submit a completed application between 1 September and 31 October with a decision by the end of the 3rd week of November. We aim to process any applications received from 1 November onwards within four weeks.

This language was there last year, too. DC submitted her app in the middle of September. We still had to wait till late March (I think). Her offer was unconditional, so she was not on the bubble. Don’t worry if you don’t hear back soon.

Thank you! Tough to wait  What school was the first one to respond, if you don’t mind me asking?

Edinburgh was the first one

Thank you! Did she end up going to any of those? DD applied to Oxford, Edinburgh, St.Andrews, Bristol and King’s

She is very happy at Edinburgh :). Best of luck to your daughter!

D has applied to St. Andrews, York, Bath, Edinburgh and Durham. Went in last weekend. Have gotten confirmations of receipt of app for all but Durham and requests for more info from two. Meeting with St. Andrews rep at her school next week.

Thank you, jupiter98!

VickiSoCal, we received confirmations from all 5 schools + St.Andrews additionally asked for the transcripts and High School Profile via email.

Yes, she’s checking with her counselor on those today. Durham is the only one that hasn’t emailed.

@VickiSoCal - my D will be submitting her Ucas app soon. What additional information did the unis request?

Some request school transcripts and your High School Profile

Just be sure to monitor your email and check your spam filter after you submit. Several schools sent us links to their portals to create logins for next steps.

What do you mean by high school profile? Is that just the transcripts? TIA

No it is a doc that describes your high school, classes offered, population, etc. The guidance counselor will be able to provide.

DD got the first offer today - from Bristol. So the process actually started

Congrats! What was her application date?

Thank you! Submitted UCAS on 09/11, Bristol sent an application acknowledgment on 09/22, and then an offer on 10/26
