I'm trying to make a transfer plan and need to know my chances at Berkeley and UCLA.

I'm a freshman at an out of state private university, but I'm a california resident.
I have a 4.0 GPA
My UW high school GPA is 3.6 which is a little low due to my freshman year...
I read that UC focus on junior and senior year for transfers in which case my UW GPA would be a 3.9.
SAT: CR: 700; Writing: 730; Math: 590; Total: 2020
100+ volunteer hours
Participation in theater and Model United Nations
My intended major is International Relations

They only take junior transfers and they don't look at high school sat scores or grades.

I know they only take juniors, but I'm not going to PLAN on transferring to a school I dont have a chance at getting into. Plus, I will have junior status by the end on this year because I took a lot of APs so it would be prudent of me to start planning and researching now.

But thanks for letting me know they don't look at SAT, that's one less thing to worry about.

Looks positive to me. Both I would say is a slight reach due ot the fact that CCC students receive priority, the UCs, and then private university students. I'd say don't count on admission to both schools. Its going to be one or the other, most likely.
