I know a friend who's gotten a response already, and I was wondering if anyone has anything to share...I'm sure those transferring in the future will find the information you provide very helpful.

I'll start:

I'm an English major @ a CCC with 3.5-4.0 GPA.
I was accepted to UCLA for fall and UCB for spring.
I appealed to be enrolled in fall.
Please PM me if you'd like to read a copy of my essay - I wrote about my major preparation that goes above and beyond what's required.

Oh, and I also sent in a really well-written recommendation letter from my advisor on student government...he's a Bear. PM me if you want to read a copy of that too. I can type it up, since he gave me extra copies.

Haha, there'd be no point, 'cause I can just stay at Duke. Plus, this was already the second time I've applied to Berkeley--I got in the first time, and was just sort of forced to go to Duke for my first year of college. I suppose Cal has every right to reject me since I did them when they were kind enough to offer me admission.

The latter. The thing was I never thought I wouldve gotten rejected in the first place. I got Fall Admission thanks to those that decided to go to UCLA. Btw, there'll be one more open slot for UCLA. :)

they called your house? around what time? AHhhh i'm so nervous because i dont really want to send in my UCLA SIR yet and waste money if i'm just going to hear from berkeley in a few hours....
