UCB BA in CS and 3.3 requirment

I am just curious that

1)If the GPA requirement of 3.3 in CS 61A, CS 61B, CS 70 if doesn’t fulfill then what are the chances to transfer to other UC’s in CS or is there is option to transfer to other UC in CS.
2)Also before joining to UCB this fall, during the summer my son can get any help for these CS 61A, CS 61B, CS 70 subjects.
3) How to prepare for these subjects CS 61A, CS 61B, CS 70 before joining to UCB in fall.
4) Is there any other courses which can boost the GPA of these cources CS 61A, CS 61B, CS 70
5) How many students usually enroll in L&S department every year.

Please help me with my questions. I really appreciate it.

2 and 3. The CS courses can be previewed at http://www-inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/classes-eecs.html .

  1. If no experience in computing, consider enrolling in CS 10 before CS 61A.
  2. Enrollment in L&S CS has increased from under 100 per year several years ago to over 300 per year now. This is in addition to EECS enrollment of over 300 per year now.
