Do you happen to have the stats for UCLA waiting list, 2017? Thanks!

@chrisread: No data available for the last 5 years for UCLA based on the common dataset.

My daughter got waitlisted. OOS with 29 ACT, 4.7 GPA, tons of ec, strong essays, and was asked for a lor. Her scores weren’t the best so we were pretty surprised.

my S got waitlisted. in-state 33ACT 4.4 UC GPA. Good ECs &Assay, we are surprised too.

Got waitlisted. In-state 1500 SAT 4.3 GPA. Good EC / Essay. IEOR Engineering.

Anyone know how likely it is to get off the waitlist for IEOR? Also, if you are given an admission offer do you have to accept?

@crazycrabman: no specific waitlist stats for IEOR just overall admit information. You are not obligated to accept the offer if admitted off the waitlist.

What topic will you guys be writing about in your essays?

Waitlisted OOS Act 33, SAT 1450. Good essays but my UC wasn’t the best. Thankful to be waitlisted!

UC gpa*

Does anyone know how many people were offered the waitlist? And how many get in?

The number of people who get in depends on the yield. If more acceptees go somewhere else, then the more that potentially gets cleared off the waitlist. It will all happen probably first or second week of May.

On the UCB waitlist opt-in form they ask for my fall, winter and spring grades for only 6 courses but I am taking seven, can I just choose which ones to list? Also I am on a semester system so I do not know what to list for the three different boxes, do I list my progress report grade?

I would just submit a transcript instead in that case

In state, UC GPA probably around 3.8, 1430 SAT, essays relevant to my major Architecture…I’m surprised I even got waitlisted

Anyone else wait-listed for CNR? (College of Natural Resources)

I’m torn on what to mention in my waitlist essay. I have done much worth mentioning since I submitted my application other than consistently get all A’s (all of my other activities I have already mentioned my notable accomplishments in my app). Would it be okay to use the essay to mention how I would be a perfect fit at Berkeley? I’m still unsure of how formal/informal this essay should be, or even if it should be very lengthy.

**haven’t done much worth mentioning

Are we allowed to send in materials besides the essay and what they ask for in the opt-in form? If yes, how do we send this stuff in (LORs, Community College Transcripts, etc.)

@E57130: Only send in what is requested as a Waitlisted applicant, nothing more.
