For those of you who were ready to put down the fat checks lol did you guys commit to other schools?
Put a SIR in at UCSB couple days ago 
I already put down a deposit for housing at another campus. But I found that it is refundable if I donât attend (except for $75) so thatâs better.
BTW:
- 2 Addresses
- no decision yet
- I noticed in the FAQ that Berkeley tends to accept 20%-60% of their waitlist candidates. Thatâs much higher than I expected!
why are they delaying so much⊠do you think results can come out tomorrow?
@AccurateTime Howâd you find out that theyâre refundable?
My DD is waitlisted at UCSB and UCB. She SIR at UCDavis in PolSci and put refundable housing deposit. Waitlist situation is hard, but keeping fingers crossed!
@califmom23 re: 4 addresses, think itâs probably a maintenance type of thingy and has no bearing on acceptances. But Iâm not one of the developers in their IT department so I donât know. I donât recall my kid having multiple addresses but then again he nor I looked much at the portal before.
honestly, why does everything have to change in our year. Class of 2019 is really being killed by these stupid dates.
@autumroses: Itâs usually in the contractâwhat the change/cancel penalty is.
My guess is first wave of acceptances tomorrow, and last year 37% of those that opted in, got in off the waitlist ?

@knowledgeispower18 any particular reason why you think itâd come out today? Iâm hoping for today as well, but just wondering if you know any information.
@tennisninja 5/7 is when my son found out last year and it was a random Monday. Maybe thatâs about how many days they need after SIR day to get a gauge of how many to start accepting?
Yeah a few people who called the admissions office last week were told it would be out today (Tuesday) but a few people called yesterday and the admissions office said they didnât know, so I wouldnât really count on anything happening today
@knowledgeispower18 i know this is a long shot but do you remember what time he got the email ? People are saying 3:30 or 6 but Iâm not sure and it would give me peace a mind knowing around what time
@oofizz he had noticed his portal changing like at 12. Waitlist FAQs started changing to FAQs about how to accept offer and financial aid, and addresses changed to 4 from 2, so you might look for this indicators. I think actual acceptance on portal was like 3:00 pm pacific. Good luck! ?
@ProfessorPlum168 Thank you for getting back to me. I just wanted to make sure this would not be something that we would miss on my S application. I was just curious as to what it was. 
I just called in and the person told me that the decisions wonât be coming out today and that there isnât a set date for the first round of acceptances. She said that everyone will get a decision by June 1st. I actually just dont understand why they canât just give us a set of dates⊠its very frustrating.
