Just curious whether they’ll still mail us the acceptance packages since we only have a week to decide
@SeniorSzn They do I’m pretty sure. Tbh you shouldn’t be worried about that rn
@student1151 I’m not worried about that rn! I was asking out of curiosity.
at least 4 more days!!
Anyone get emails from UCSC or Merced asking to submit a late app? They kinda imply I didn’t get accepted to any UC’s, worried it includes Berkeley waitlist.
@Ajchen i didn’t get one, maybe it’s bc you’re in-state(?)
@trademistakes I’m not in state, I’ve heard it’s only sent to people OOS. However some other people I know didn’t get one, so I’m worried it’s a bad sign. The UCSC one literally says “Although you were not offered admission to any of the UC campuses to which you originally applied, if your goal is to earn a UC degree, I’d like to invite you to submit a late application to the Santa Cruz campus”
I got the same email and I don’t think that it means anything. I looked at a past thread and theres a guy that got the email on April 18th who was wiatlisted to both UCLA and UC Berkeley but I don’t think that the person would be rejected from the waitlist that quickly. I think this is just given to top out of state applicants.
@Ajchen and @19High8: If a UC campus has not met their capped target of OOS/International applicants, they will refer these applicants to campuses which still have room being UCSC and UCM. Not all applicants will get this referral since it depends upon major and # of spots available
In-state applicants if not accepted to a UC campus of choice and are ELC eligible (Eligibility in the local context top 9%) will be referred to UCM if room is available which usually excludes STEM majors.
So this isn’t implying that I got rejected from UC Berkeley?
Hi, I was waitlisted by UC Berkeley for Environmental Economics and Policy. Does anyone know if this would mean I am waitlisted under College of Natural Resources or College of Letters and Sciences or both?
Also got the emails from UCSC and Merced. OOS
Can anybody log into CalCentral with their MAP@Berkeley account? some people that got off the waitlist last year were able to view their financial aid in CalCentral
@19High8: The email does not mean you have been rejected by UCB, but you have not gotten an acceptance at any UC (waitlists do not count). You are still in the running for UCB but you are being offered an alternative just in case.
@pythonc mine doesn’t work
Hi I am waitlisted for CNR,
super nervous & was wondering if you chose the preferred freshman pathway when you filled out the waitlist form or if you’re offered admission, because I never had the option on my waitlist form for those.
Hi all, I got waitlisted for L&S, been anxious lately because i heard UCLA and UCSD have already sent out some acceptances off the waitlist. is there a good chance UCB will release the first wave on May 3? Also does anyone what UCB’s predicted yield might be this year
@dyosay2 I think there’s a strong chance that the first wave will drop on May 3. 3 days is a quick turnaround, but IIRC Berkeley released some decisions on May 2 three years ago and for the past two years it’s been on the first Friday of May.
@pythonc That’s actually not true, it came out on Monday the 7th last year.
If I’m not wrong, last year there was a special reason for postponing it. Three years ago it was may 2, then may 4 and then may 7th (It would have been the 4th again but it got postponed and then by two days because of the weekend). So my prediction would be a 50/50 chance between the 3rd and 6th (4th and 5th is the weekend). So max by this time next week I’m guessing.
