Hello everyone. I have three questions:

1: is UCB's econ major not so competitive as its Hass or Engineering?

2: if there is a gap of acceptance rate between econ and Hass, could you tell me the NUMBER of acceptance rate of econ?

3: if someone can compare the econ major of UCB and UCLA's, you will help me and everyone a lot.

Thank you. I really appreciate that.

1: Equally competitive if you fulfill requirements

2:Yes but it is because many Haas applicants arent eligible because of not completing reqs such as breadth
Econ rate<17% Avg GPA 3.85+

3: Theres plenty of ways for u to research that. Too lazy to do it for u

wow I didn’t think econ at ucb would be more competitive then haas in terms of transferring. Especially since you dont get accepted into the major but the school.

Well as far as Social Sciences at UCB are concerned, the admit rate is 22% so you compete against other SS majors but of course Econ is more impacted making the admit rate dip below 20%

Of those that get admitted as econ only about 2/3 will actually get into the major because you have to apply to the major in your first semester.
