What are my chances at berk. engineering/Stanford/MIT/Caltech? Also what about Cornell?

Oh I forgot to mention...Im participating in COSMOS this summer, and SES (Santa Clara Engineer. Seminar). In addition I work at SCORE. I also am a counselor at a robotics camp for kids.

What is your UC Weighted GPA, as that is what Berkeley looks at. Anyway, it looks like you have a good shot at UCB Engineering as I know some of my friends that are in engineering did worst than you did GPA-wise and SAT-wise, but then one of them did better than you and got rejected.

Anyways it's a crapshoot, but even money goes on you getting into Berkeley Engineering as you're instate.

I also have a question about the regents scholarship for berkeley. A kid from my school with similar stats got it, so I was wondering if I stood a chance. what exactly is the criterion for it, and what are its benefits?

The GPA is low for Caltech/Stanford/MIT and you don't have a substantial hook, so I'd say they're all reaches. Cornell and Berkeley are probably slight reaches, but they could be closer to matches depending on how hardcore your high school is.

What about MIT/Caltech/Stanford...how do my chances look there.

Statistics from my school.

Out of 40 kids...
2 accepted to stanford
1 accepted to harvard
6 accepted to UCB
4 accepted to Cornell
2 to Pomona
1 to Caltech
1 to JHU
1 to MIT
1 to Brown

Just about the top 25 percent, 10/40 went to such institutions.
