I LITERALLY DID THIS TOO we are connected
@TheDaVinciCode no literally I don’t know what I’m gonna do if I don’t get in… Berkeley has been my dream school since FOREVER and all my best friends are going
@bryanngocpham : Relax, Bryan, if you really want to go to Cal, there are still two pathways to do it:
- Check if Cal still offers Spring admission and re-apply it. Check all the details before applying;
- Go go your local community or city college for two years and make a transfer. Make sure the CC you go to offer courses which are accredited by Cal.
Several of my friends did so and managed to graduate in 4 years as well.
Good luck!
Still no word anyone from admissions office anyone?
I think I sent an admissions question sometime ago and got an email response to it earlier today:
I’m following up on your question submitted through the admissions website. We will be reviewing space available over the month of June to determine whether we can admit more students. This may be done in waves. In the meantime, we encourage you to pursue other educational opportunities so that you have a place to go regardless of the Berkeley decision. You’ll hear from us over the next couple of weeks.
If you have any additional questions, please submit an inquiry online, or join us during our regular live chat hours.
Sincerely,
Stefan Montouth
So I guess we will get our decisions over the next two weeks.
@user_8089110 : I certainly hope U guys have a back-up plan…
Did you ask about appeals or appeals and WL’s?
I do have a back up plan and I don’t even remember asking the question, so I don’t even know what I asked for. I’m pretty sure it was a general question about when admissions was coming out for waitlist and appeals. Here’s the link to submit an inquiry: http://admissions.berkeley.edu/contactus
So thus far, no one has been accepted yet?
nope
@bryanngocpham There has been a couple of people accepted in the first wave if you are asking about all acceptances. But no one has been accepted since then.
I feel like these upcoming waves might be big.
Stanford had a waitlist wave last night and students have until July 7th to respond. So, I anticipate we’ll see movement by the end of this week.
I called yesterday and the AO told me that they’re still reviewing our appeals case by case??? So is it that they haven’t read it yet or they’ve read it and will reread it for the announcement at the end of June?
My little bro just had a change in financial need (aid not needed any more), and had an activity update. Is it worth sending in an update? If so, to who? Thank you!
I don’t think you can send any updates
I was told before July 1st when I called, but the guy seemed pretty irritated
its gotta be today right??
IN the chat room, the AO said appeals decisions will not be released today.
In the chat, one of the reps (Erica Sanchez) said it is their goal to release tomorrow
She also said they’re hoping to close both the waitlist list and appeal list by July 31st
