Does any one know if the transfer essays for ucb and haas stay the same every year?

Bump. 10chars

the ones for Berk stay the same for a while, Haas has several essays that they use, u get two that u can choose from, but different people get different pairs to choose from.

How soon do they release the prompts so you can prepare.

No they do NOT stay the same every year. Read the haas thread that i created. and calbearguy is hella wrong. everyone gets the same 2 essays to choose from every year.

@Random_Monkey: a little less than a month, but it’s a short essay anyway.

dude, ive seen 6 different questions this year

i wish they were interviews instead of essays

The personal statement prompts stay the same (required for all UCB applicants). Haas applicants need to submit an additional essay and I believe there are only 2 essay questions to choose from each year (definitely just 2 this year). I was told by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions that they change every year.

The UC application personal statement prompts changed a few years ago, but the underlying questions stayed the same (discuss your achievements and tell us something about yourself that makes you stand out from others). Don’t expect the prompts to stay exactly the same indefinitely, but take comfort in the fact that the prompts won’t stray very far from the basic questions.
