<p>When creating a screen name for others to view you as, when searching for a roommate, the profile page asks that you choose a screen name different from your actual name in order to preserve anonymity; is there any reason for anonymity, I am not seeing?</p>
<p>Secondly, it asks that I "self-identify" and provides a larger box for a response; does anyone have any ideas as to what they are looking for with this prompt?</p>
<p>i think usually "self-identifying" means stating your gender/race/etc if it's not listed from the preceding options (so if you're neither male or female, feel free to identify). i haven't looked at it yet, but does this work in context of the app?</p>
