I really don't know which school should I go.
I want to become a pharmacist and either school are great, but I've heard that Davis is better for Sciences since they have Biological Sciences for B.S. while Berkeley only has B.A.
I, hopefully, transfer to UCSF after I get my Bachelor Degree. (or UOP, which I a bit considering that)

So far, all of the requirements I did are same for UCD and UCB. I need to start planning on my schedule for the next couple of semesters. UCB requires more classes for sure. sigh I need to decide now. Do you think UCB has higher reputation for getting into UCSF or it doesn’t matter?

SIR–statement of intent to register—
You have valid questions. You might post them on each cc site (UC Davis & UC Berkeley) to get feedback from current students, and grads.
Most agree with alansda that it might be more difficult to get into UCB over UCD, and their admission decision might make the choice for you…but if both come in w/an acceptance…then you are indeed faced with a need for a clear decision.G’Luck.

1) Do a thorough research of the curriculum for both schools and see which are more relevant to your career path.

2) Start visiting department counselors at each school to inquire about the program and its correlation to your career goal.

3) If possible, talk to the alum from each school (hopefully you meet someone who shares very simliar goal as you) and what their experience was in each program/school.

*Compare the financial aid package and put that into consideration.

If you still have not come up with the decision after doing all these, then come to CC and ask for opinions.

I may be facing this dilemna as well…These are the two schools i have applied to. If i get accepted to both, i’m not sure which one to attend. Attending UCD would probably make things MUCH easier, as i would room with my cousin who has been there the last two years and will be entering his junior year as well. I’d have somebody that can really help with the adjustment, and somebody i’m very close to for support as well. If i go to UCB, i would probably have to take a hellish commute everyday from home in San Jose…however just about everybody tells me that if i do get into UCB, i should go for it no matter what…

I don’t want to make things more confusing for you, but you might want look at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Emphasis program in our chemistry department; [Department of Chemistry - Undergraduate - BS Major Requirements - Pharmaceutical Chemistry](http://www.chem.ucdavis.edu/undergraduate/bsmajor_pc.html) . As said above the major shouldn’t matter to the professional school.
Be sure to visit the schools you are admitted to one last time before you make your decision. Most students know what school they want to attend after visiting the campus after they are admitted.
