I got accepted to UCI for the fall semester and Cal's spring semester. This may seem like a disadvantage for Cal but they have a program (FPF) for students to take classes near campus for credit. I have no idea where i want to go, it would be great if I could have some pros and cons or any words of advice between the two.

I am planning on studying either Psychology, Criminology, or Accounting.
I am also pretty close with my family and don't really wanna be so far away from my brother and sister. (I live in Los Angeles)

Any info would be greatly appreciated =]
and i need to make my decsion for the FPF program soon so I am assured a spot.

I've seen both campuses but I'm not sure what to think of either, Cal was huge and very nice and Irvine was nice too. I wasn't really sure what to look at when I was at either.

Does anyone have any comments on the social life at either school?

I'm in the exact same situation!! Do you have any idea how soon we need to enroll in FPF before spaces run out? Btw Berkeley is definitely more of an urban campus if that's what you're looking for, whereas Irvine is sort of in the middle of nowhere.

Berkeley being huge can be good or bad depending on the person. What I mean that the campus is big and its really pretty ... its like a lil park in some parts. And the buildings are huge ... like the psychology one lol ...
but thats about the same at every college.

I have been admitted to UCI for fall of 2008 and I am trying to decide between UCI and Fordham University. I am concerned about the social life at UCI, because I heard it is a commuter school and can be empty on the weekend. Thanks for the help.
