UCB or UIUC

Hey everyone!

I have been accepted to the university of California Berkeley, as well as the University of Illinois Honor business program. I am having a tough time deciding between the two. I plan for my undergraduate major to be in business administration; however my overall goal is to attend law school. Since I am from Illinois, UIUC is about $20,000 cheaper a year. I would like to stay in the Chicago region after law school. I am partly torn because Berkeley is ranked #3 for business schools and #7 for law schools. But, getting into University of Chicago's or Northwestern's Law school is a definite possibility when attending UIUC. I am so unsure of what to do, if anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate it.

Law schools, when looking at applicants, decide primarily based on the LSAT scores and your GPA. So where you go for undergrad hardly matters. Law school is a huge investment and you’d want to lighten the financial load in any way you can. $20,000 is a huge amount to save so do yourself a favor and take advantage of your residential tuition and go to UIUC. Do your best there and maintain a high GPA and score high on your LSAT, and then apply to those top law schools with a lessened financial burden.
