UCB orientation

when can we sign up for orientation and when is the orientation

7/3/2008 is the CalSo orientation. I have signed up for that, but it is so expensive. $100 for one entrance ticket.

I signed up for mine the day after I submitted my SIR. There are options in choosing a date. It depends on which college you're in. I'm in Letters and Science and I signed up for June 11th. My fee was sent to my CARS account so that my financial aid will cover it.

Just look through the messages/checklist section of your myberkeley App

so letters and science is june 11, but i have finals, are there any other dates?

is this mandatory?

No, there are multiple dates for letters and science. I just signed up for June 11th. It's not mandatory but it is strongly reccommended. I think if you don't go you have to have a really good reason. Also, you can sign up for classes sooner when you go.

There is a mandatry orientation for Haas, though.

i think its a good idea. when date is everyone picking? i wanna see some CC ppl there!

Signed for June 11
do they run the orientation by major... department or college?

man, alot of ppl are doing june 11. i wanna wear a college confidential t-shirt w/my screename on it when i go, so ppl can think i'm a dork! maybe i'll make one for myself :O

lacity...
I cannot stress enough how important it is to go to CalSo if you are choosing to go to Cal. At the end of the day before dinner they give you a code number and you go into the computer lab and sign up for your first phase of classes. If you miss CalSo then you have to wait for them to send you the code and its very difficult to get classes once they are filled up. I know $100 seems like allot but its all day and covers food. Plus it goes on your CARS bill and most people's f/a covers it in August when your money drops in to your CARS account.

luv,

Clear your forum mailbox! lol

is it full? lol,lol...I didn't realize ...thanx =)

LA people how to go to SF for orientation? car or plane?

@ crazyboy: well, how much gas money do you have? if you're like me, then you will drive for miles as long as its in the opposite direction from your house.

and besides, an extra break from school to go to SF wouldn't be too bad for morale. : )
