Do you need to meet Seven-Course Breadth Requirement before transferring to UCB?
I literally copied and pasted your question into google, and this was the first result
http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirement/7breadth.html
Transfer info at the bottom
Above is the College of L&S breadth which might be what you want.
Below is the UC system-wide breadth (which is the very minimum), but you need to check your school or college because breadth (not counting IGETC) is different per major or college.

No.Its a graduation req
Thank you.
General Education requirements must be completed by the end of the spring term immediately preceding enrollment by completing one of the following:
- The entire IGETC pattern of courses, available only to students transferring directly from a California community college.
- College of Letters and Science requirements: Reading and Composition, Quantitative Reasoning, and Foreign Language (see assist.org)
- University of California Reciprocity Agreement (available to transfers from another UC campus)
I’s still confused.
It’s for COLLEGE OF LETTERS AND SCIENCE
B.A. DEGREE
Are you in a California community college? And are you transferring to Letters & Science? If so, you just need to do IGETC.
Yes, L&S berkeley IGETC must be completed. It’s more than seven courses. It’s like 11 - if you’re at a CCC.
And it appears the general ed breadth (if not from a UC or CCC) requires the addition of language.
Thank you.
