Feeling a bit uneasy, decided to make one of these threads. I copied the format from another thread.

CA Resident
Community College

Major: Biz Econ - LA, Haas - Berkeley GPA: 3.83 Major/Pre-requisite GPA: 4.0 - All pre-requisites completed by Fall 2008. Multi-variable Calc completed as well. TAP: No IGETC: Yes Essays: First two not great, a couple hundred words under 1000. <-- Is that really bad? However, third essay for Haas is good. ECs: MSNBC online stock challenge (I was in top 5% last round), president of school honor society, sports (non-varsity, moslty lax pickup games and the gym). Work Experience: Work in accounting department at a real estate investment company. Math/Econ tutor at CC. Awards: Dean's List

I'm very worried about my first two prompts. I'm afraid they didn't come out that great at all. Furthermore, I knew to not go over 1000 words, but I ended up being under by several hundred. I know Biz Econ/Haas are very competitive. All of this really worries me.

I dont want to sound like a homer but you have a slim chance with CAL especially Haas. Most kids that apply there have a 3.95+ GPA which substantially increases the average GPA. As for Bizecon, you do have a competitive chance but note that you are competing against many people with the same GPA yet they have TAP to give them the boost. Just throwing that out there...

Ucla. Match
Haas reachy match. I would personally say based on what I seen u are too average for haas. Most that get in are exceptional in a pool of excellent applicants

err, my friend is in HAAS. the competition is cut throat and only the top tier folks make the program. your pre-req grades are excellent, but your overall gpa just might affect it...hate to sound like a downer, but you may not get in because of it. it sucks berkeley is so strict with biz econ majors but they have to be. crossin my fingers for you.
