I'm planning to major in marketing.
I've read in several posts that marketing isn't much of a degree to get? (job-wise) Is that true?
Which degree/concentration would you recommend?
I don't see myself going into finance or accounting, though..

I'm not sure where to go out of those two schools.
Please help!
I'm a city girl from Hong Kong.

For UCB, there is more prestige and recognition, and NYU, it's guaranteed Stern. and New York.

I heard that the town just outside Berkeley wasn't that great, and the earthquake thing (haha) as well. Oh and something about budget cuts? Does that impact the comparison between the two schools? Plus there's no guarantee I will get into Haas.
NYU doesn't seem to have much of a 'campus life' thing going, and how is the work environment there? Is it really that hard to find and meet people?

Would getting an MBA after a business degree be necessary?
If so, which uni would give me a better lift?

For people who are at these unis, how is the atmosphere?
Is it really competitive? like cutthroat competitive? How do they compare?
How are the dorms and student life?

Which uni would you personally recommend, and why?

That's a lot of questions...
But I think there will be a lot of people who would like to know this, all in one place, so here it is.
Thanks for your help!
