UCB vs. UCSD vs. UCSB

Hi,

I was fortunate to receive the Regents' Scholarship at Berkeley, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara. Looking at my financial aid offering in accordance with my EFC, the cost to attend would be virtually the same at each of the three schools.

I want to go into chemistry or possibly engineering so that's what I applied as. I definitely want to go to graduate school right after my undergrad so that's why I'm a little concerned. I understand that Berkeley is much more difficult that SD or SB and I'm worried that if I attend Berkeley, I won't have a high enough GPA to get into MIT or a top graduate school.

Any comparisons between the three schools or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

If you want to do Engineering, go to Cal. Cal engineering is elite.

For chemistry…ehh…what for? phD? Probably Berkeley. Med/Pharm/Dental/Optometry school? Go elsewhere.

if u got regents u should be fine academically
