<p>UCD has been tied for my first choice along with Cal/UCLA since day one. There are many reasons. First, I have spent the weekend at the campus ~6 times in the last two years, and am going again this weekend for Picnic day! Thus, I am familiar with the UCD lifestyle, and it really is the perfect campus for me. You’ve got the school spirit and strong athletics program, and you’ve got the ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude among the students. </p>
<p>I’ve been to UCLA and Cal, and I really enjoyed my experience at UCLA, but I am not sure that I would choose either of these schools over UCD, even with the added prestige. </p>

<p>I believe you had to apply for it and send in a teacher’s recommendation by early January. As far as I know, Arcade and I are the only CC’ers who applied for regents at UCD (Correct me if I am wrong). I would LOVE to get this. If I did, I would likely attend UCD no matter the result from UCLA/UCB.</p>

<p>@ Cali Trumpet: I wanted to apply for Regents so badly, but I was just short of the 3.8 requirement with a 3.74 :(. Davis used to be my first choice, but as of the last few months I’ve fallen in love with UCB and UCLA. Congratulations on being accepted to Davis! That’s huge, especially considering it’s one of your favorites.</p>
<p>Did you apply for the Cal Aggie Leadership Scholarship? It’s the one in which you had to write an essay on leadership experience.</p>
<p>I’ll note that my financial aid/award status is still not complete, so perhaps they’re preparing a nice scholarship offer :)? Wishful thinking? lol.</p>

<p>I don’t think UC-UC transfer can apply for the Leadership scholarship. If I was eligible, then I guess I missed that opportunity. My recommendation for Regents was pretty good I though (UCD alumnus), so I am crossing my fingers. </p>
<p>My financial aid package is not complete yet. I think they are probably still working on transfer aid. I am guessing we will know who got regents once they finally let us access our aid.</p>
